Wafilin Systems winner of De HET Entrepreneurship Award 2020

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your confidence in us. We are extremely proud to have won De HET, the Leeuwarden Entrepreneurship Award that – just like us – takes innovation as its starting point. Thanks to your vote, along with the expert jury’s positive assessment, we scooped this award on Monday 14 September.

After the drive-in award ceremony and a delicious lunch, organised by De HET and the Leeuwarden Commercial Club, our long wait paid off when we were announced as winners of the award. Although we faced stiff competition – Ekwadraat Groep and Grenzelooswerk (winner of the public award with 47% of the votes) – the big screen revealed that we were the jury’s choice. Friso Douwstra, alderman for Economic Affairs, presented the award together with the alderman for Youth. Our trophy is now on prominent display, demonstrating Wafilin Systems’ pride in winning this award.

The expert jury commented favourably on Wafilin Systems: “Wafilin, you are a wonderful company, with an enormous capacity for innovation. There is scope for personal development and the team spirit is clearly apparent. During our tour, we met outstanding professionals, passionate about their specialism in membranes. It is clear to us that Wafilin Systems has a truly distinctive profile, emphasising continuous improvement for customers and suppliers. In a competitive market, Wafilin Systems holds a strong position based on quality and strength in innovation. Long may this continue – we predict a great future for you!”

Winning an award with such a strong focus on innovation is particularly gratifying for Wafilin Systems and its staff. As the world changes, our membrane technology is helping to change the world. Together with our clients, we make healthy food available. In addition, we enable substantial water and energy savings to be delivered within production processes, by means of membrane solutions.

Harry van Dalfsen is proud:

“I wasn’t really expecting this – we’re absolutely delighted with the expert jury award! Our team deserved it, though. As Henk just said: we experienced a bit of a dip in the early months of the coronavirus pandemic, but we actually have even more people working for us now. We keep moving forward, because we have great ideas! Thank you to everyone who voted, but special thanks to our staff. I’m incredibly proud of them!”

As am I. Proud of you and all Masters in Membrains.

Henk Schonewille.
